Break drums
Breaker drums are used to tighten up conveyor belts, so that the belt has a larger contact surface around drive drums. Can also be used in a separate tightening loop. This contributes to less slurping of the conveyor belt.
Breaker drums have different designs depending on the area of use. Some variants:
- Powerful steel drums for tightening belts
- Ribbed drums with a cleansing effect, as the ribs hit the belt
- Breaker drums with vulcanized rubber, for heavy loads from large operations
