Atlantic Pumps has developed EnviroHub, an innovative system that plays a key role in protecting the environment. In this text, we will look at how EnviroHub works and why it is an important tool for responsible water treatment.
What is EnviroHub?
EnviroHub is a control system used in quarries, quarries and other facilities to monitor, treat and report on water quality at the construction site. At the construction site, water can accumulate from the ground when digging, often using water in the production process or to wash down equipment after use. As a result, contaminants may appear in the water that can cause problems at the plant or that can be harmful to the environment.
EnviroHub monitors, treats and reports on water quality. EnviroHub is equipped with sensors that can measure, among other things:
- Ph
- Turbidity
- Dissolved oxygen
- Temperature
- Flow Rate
- Ammonia
If turbidity increases, the system can automatically filter the water to ensure it is clean and clear. This is crucial to prevent pollution and safeguard the environment.
How can I use EnviroHub?
EnviroHub monitors all applications for water on site, here are some examples from Atlantic pumps:
- Site dewatering applications – the removal of excess water from quarries and construction sites.
- Lagoon, pond or excavation dewatering
- Monitoring concrete washout water and correcting it
- The monitoring of flow and solids used in a wash plant
- Process plant effluent treatment
- Sludge thickening and solidifying
EnviroHub monitors, treats and reports on water from its first on-site arrival until it is removed.
What does EnviroHub treat?
Some of the most common uses of EnviroHub:
pH monitoring – The acidity or alkalinity of the water is measured using a number known as pH. The ideal pH of water is 7. Anything below this can be considered acidic and may contain corrosive material. Anything greater than 7 is described as alkaline.
Flow rate – This is the volume of water that passes during a unit of time. This is usually measured in m3/h.
Turbidity – turbid water and unclean water. Turbidity is caused by a great many individual particles that are usually invisible to the eye. Natural waters are considered to have low turbidity, sewage water, for example, has high turbidity.
Sustainable results
EnviroHub has already proven to be a success in several projects. By using this system, companies have achieved better water management and improved environment. Want to hear more about the possibilities of EnviroHub? Contact us now!
