Reduce shrinkage
When masses of material fall off in the process, it costs not only in cleaning at the plant but also in the loss of material that could otherwise have been sold. After a year, several tons of material can be wasted. If your facility has challenges with shrinkage and spends significant time and labor on cleaning, rubber edging with extra sealing strip can be a game changer for you.
Easier maintenance
Lots of material building up under the conveyor, in walkways and elsewhere around the plant can be a burden for workers who have to get around and for machines that are exposed to more difficult conditions. That’s why maintenance and cleanliness in the workplace is important, not only for well-being but also for efficient operations. By using rubber edging in the system, you can reduce maintenance costs and avoid the need to use labor when large masses build up.
Edge strip rubber with extra sealing strip captures even more dust and mass than regular edge strip rubber – it also has a PU coating at the bottom of the edge strip, which makes it more durable and gives it a longer lifespan.
Had to clean 2-3 times a week.
Here’s an example of a nice piece of material that built up at one of our customers. Here, the customer spent a considerable amount of time cleaning 2-3 times a week to avoid the trouble that comes with the build-up of mass (spills). After installing Edge strip rubber PU with double sealing, the customer has no longer had any problems with spillage.
