At Nordic Bulk, we are proud to have delivered an advanced conveyor system for bulk unloading and handling at the CSL FLEXVIK project.
CSL FLEXVIK was originally built as a bulk carrier and has since been converted into a state of the art- hybrid self-unloading vessel. The vessel is specifically designed to support coastal and offshore operations, as well as the transport and handling of bulk materials.
The challenge was to create a flexible and efficient solution of handling a wide range of materials—from sand and gravel to stone —with the ability to unload to shore, to other vessels or bedrocks to subsea installations in offshore projects.
To meet this need, we collaborated with Peak Marine Tech AS to design and deliver a customized conveyor and bulk handeling system that ensures efficient and flexible operations in demanding coastal and offshore environments where emphasizes has been on unloading without any infrastructure. Our delivery includes:
- Complete conveyor solution – engineered to handle a capacity of 1,500 tons per hour.
- Three stationary hoppers with a total of six feeders (two feeders per hopper) – designed for optimal material flow and continuous operation.
- A 50-meter unloading arm with a 180° swing radius and a up to 15° incline, reaching a maximum height of 13,4 meters.
With this delivery, Nordic Bulk contributes to advancing bulk handling in the shipping industry, and we are proud to be part of this innovative project, as we have been with similar ship rebuilding projects before.
